I joined DNSimple, a domain and DNS company, 10 years ago as a UX developer and grew into product engineering. I look for the same problem arriving in different words. Support kept getting three questions about billing, so I redesigned the account page around them. When we had thousands of tagged tickets and still couldn't say what hurt customers most, I built a scorecard that could.
I also like explaining this stuff. I've built comics and interactive games that a few hundred people visit every month. I stopped publishing for about 10 years, and now I'm making things in public again.

What am I paying for?
Customers kept asking support what they were paying for, what they were paying with, and how to stop. I redesigned the account page around those three questions, reworked it after review, and shipped the second take.

Removing Vue, one component at a time
JavaScript was about 3% of the app's code and the main source of its security advisories. I removed Vue from the app without changing anything customers saw.
